A few weekends ago we moved our daughter Emily into her dorm at college. While my wife spent the first day in our newly empty nest cleaning Emily’s room, I decided to take out a wall. (I honestly think I process change better if the therapy involves power tools.) Anyway, I’ve been keeping a list of projects that I’d like to do around our house and the wall seemed a great place to start. Sure I made a little dust but a few days later we had a beautiful new stairwell, opened up to allow natural light to flood across the front entry of our home.
So I’m curious to know what’s on your project list. Every week I meet with new clients who want to renovate something in their home—a room addition, a kitchen or bathroom update. Some of these clients are readying for resale and others simply need more functionality or energy efficiency. These are my favorite projects. For almost 30 years I’ve worked as a General Contractor in Cary and the Triangle area—JFBuilders has built more than 300 new homes and done countless renovations. Whether it’s new construction, a room addition, or a kitchen or bathroom remodel, I love to watch the plan come to life. I love the process of creating something new, or of re-inventing space for more functional living.
I’ve taken a similar approach to our website. As we continue to grow, we’ve launched our brand new site to make it more functional and educational. Even if you’re not thinking about remodeling or new construction, you’ll definitely enjoy our blogs and tweets. We’ll share pics of current projects and ideas for adding value to your home, for green construction, design, or EnergyStar Certification. Come back and visit again.
